This invention provides a method for separating valuable elements from metal containing copper, which comprises the following steps of (a) immersing an anode and a metal containing copper as a cathode into an electrolyte with acidic or alkaline; and (b) providing a predetermine voltage to the anode and the cathode so as to form a gaseous film surrounding the cathode during the cathode react with the electrolyte, and the predetermine voltage is sufficiently breaking through the gaseous film surrounding the cathode and thus generating a plasma in the electrolyte to precipitate a solid state of metallic copper or a solid state of copper oxide and impurity ions dissolving in the electrolyte. When the electrolyte is acidic, the step of (b) precipitates the solid state of metallic copper, and when the electrolyte is alkaline, the step of (b) precipitates the solid state of copper oxide. |
